Inviting Comments About Your PTSD Experiences

September 30, 2011

We have been posting now for about 3 months and we have written about many topics that we hope would bring both knowledge about PTSD and a deeper awareness of the consequences PTSD many have on the family and friends of the victim.

Now it is your turn.  We invite you to come and tell us your story or ask us questions or give us some suggestions on how we may improve this Military PTSD Forum site.  Remember that the PTSD site is yours, not ours.  We want to provide a vehicle that is both informative but a place where give and take can occur.

If you will look over the posts we’ve written so far there are posts about the symptoms of PTSD , the consequences of PTSD.  We’ve talked about PTSD spouses and children and even families of PTSD victims.  How to find a therapist, potential benefits from some drugs and problems in using substances not prescribed by a professional such as alcohol and illicit drugs.

We have tried to inspire you to take the first step in posting your own story and we’ve posted some stories already including some of my own trials coming home from Vietnam.  But we need more.

Our goal is to make this Military PTSD Forum a place that all military PTSD victims know about and can come whenever they need to.  This means you need to participate more.  The healing will start when you are actively involved and the only person that can help you with this is you.  We are open 24 hours a day and 365 days a year.  Sunlight is the best disinfectant.
