Veterans With PTSD Vs Government

November 22, 2011

From the Army Times, “More than a thousand Iraq and Afghanistan PTSD veterans were given lifetime disability retirement benefits.  This ruling will affect thousands of veterans with PTSD returning home from their service to their Country.

Unfortunately this does not include PTSD spouses who, I feel, need to find some relief from their secondary PTSD as well.  I suppose this is wishful thinking on my part.  Hopefully with this ruling the treatment costs for the PTSD will be covered and hopefully the time for recovery will be shortened.

More on this story can be gotten at http://www.armytimes.com/news/2011/07/ap-ptsd-vets-government-settlement-lawsuit-072911/

I also noticed in the article by Kimberly Hefling that there is a telephone ap for PTSD “Invisible War Wounds.
